[FORT WAYNE, IN] – January 24, 2022 – Lasting Change, Inc. is proud to announce Tim Smith as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The organization’s former CEO, Mark Terrell, has served the Lasting Change family of companies (Lifeline Youth & Family Services, Crosswinds Counseling, and Pierceton Woods Academy) (together, “Lasting Change”) for nearly 29 years. Terrell will continue serving the organization, focusing on building external relationships with donors and public servants.

Board of Directors President of Lasting Change, Tom Rhoades, thanked Mark for his 29 years of leadership, reflecting positively on the future. “Mark has been a faithful steward of God’s blessings on Lasting Change as we have worked hard to bring hope to thousands of individuals, families, and their communities. We are thankful for Mark’s excellent work and devotion to Indiana’s families. And, as much as we are thankful for Mark’s historical leadership and devotion, we are equally excited about the future and where God will take this organization under the passionate leadership of our new CEO, Tim Smith. God has guided Lasting Change for over 50 years, and we have never been better positioned to help more families than we are right now.”

Tim Smith has served Lasting Change as its General Counsel and Chief Innovation Officer since May of 2020. Prior to that, Tim worked for 25 years in many different leadership positions at MedPro Group. Speaking about this transition, Former CEO Mark Terrell said:

“I believe God brought Tim here; I am personally very excited about this CEO transition. I am confident that in my new role with the organization, I will help Lasting Change fulfill our vision as the national leader in restoring individuals, families, and communities.”

While addressing the organization, Smith stated:

“I am humbled and excited to move into the CEO role. I have a deep personal passion for the work we do to bring hope. Lasting Change has seen massive growth in a small amount of time, but we’ve only just begun.”

Effective January 1, 2022, Tim Smith assumed the role of CEO. Our Board of Directors and all of our leaders are confident this change will bring tremendous growth opportunities as Lasting Change continues to bring hope to individuals, families, and communities.
