Welcome to October!

If you’re like me, I’m not sure where September went and I’m not at all ready to think about the holidays, although it’s obvious they are fast-approaching. This month, I thought I’d share some of the new things/podcasts/tools I’ve recently run across. Not all of them are adoption/guardianship-specific, but my hope is that all of them will provide you with new tools and encouragement for this always-changing parenting journey! 

1000 Hours Outside

1000 Hours Outside is the global platform for reclaiming childhood and reconnecting families. Did you know the average child spends 4-7 hours a day on screens, but only gets 4-7 minutes of unstructured free play outside each day? 1000 Hours Outside is changing that. Since childhood is just shy of 9.5 million minutes, we must do our best to make every minute count. Join in and change the course of your family.
